Jakarta, 05 June 2021 – The Indonesian Insurance Council attended an invitation to the planting of 1000 mangrove tree seedlings organized by the Insurance Management College (STMA Trisakti). The activity, which was held in the North Jakarta Mangrove Debt Eco-Tourism Area, had the theme “Expansion of Mangrove Forests in Mitigation of Disaster Risk of Tsunami Occurrence”.
This activity was attended by the Director of Insurance Supervision and BPJS Health OJK Supriyono, Director of the Trisakti Foundation Bimo Prakoso, Head of STMA Trisakti Dr. A. Anton Lie, Executive Director of AAUI, DKI Jakarta Forestry Service, as well as management of the Muara Angke Mangrove Ecotourism Area, as well as representatives of sponsors from general insurance and reinsurance companies who support this activity.
The activity of planting 1000 mangrove tree seedlings is also a concrete form to participate in efforts to maintain environmental quality, protect natural ecosystems as well as protect coastal areas from abrasion and tsunami threats.
