The commemoration of Insurance Day is an annual celebration that has been routinely commemorated by the entire insurance industry since 2006. This year the theme is “One Million Policies for the Nation”. Panta Rei Indonesia is trusted to hold an Insurance Day Festival on Sunday, October 20, 2019 to coincide with the implementation of a Car Free Day in the area. Collaborating with more than 50 communities of art workers and creative industries in Denpasar – Bali, a series of events such as funwalks, carnivals, music performances, extreme sports attractions and various creative competitions were also held. This event was held with the theme: 2019 INSURANCE DAY FESTIVAL.
The fun walk was attended by more than 3000 participants, while the carnival activity was attended by more than 1000 participants: passing through the Bajra Sandi Field area and ending the East side of Braja Sandi Field Denpasar – Bali. It is at the finish location that becomes a showcase for the various selected communities. A magnificent stage featured the performance of a series of artists: Viola Arsa, MC Akbar, Gadies, Ovie, Doddy and closed the performance of the band “Superman is Dead”.
This activity is a medium for the insurance world to introduce itself to all levels of society. More than 10 thousand viewers were targeted for insurance awareness education. More than that, there is awareness that there is a new market potential for the world of insurance: namely young people and arts workers.
The commemoration of this year’s Insurance Day is the 14th anniversary of this year. A jurney that is not only long, but proud. Since 2006, this industry has shown togetherness, as well as a strong illustration of the commitment of insurers to continue to educate and disseminate insurance information to all levels of society. The big theme of 2019 Insurance Day this time is still “Let’s Get Insurance” with the sub-theme “One Million Policies for the Country”. The theme wants to describe the common goal of increasing understanding of insurance, in particular increasing financial literacy and inclusion in encouraging the availability of access and financial services that touch all levels of society in Indonesia.
This theme is manifested in a series of activities to commemorate the 2019 Insurance Day. One of them is a literacy program for schools. The target of education and outreach regarding the importance of insurance in everyday life is students at the SMA / SMK and UMKM levels. Activities carried out in various cities in Indonesia in collaboration with AAUI and AAJI branches and collaborating with PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (Persero) (PNM). This program succeeded in enlightening more than 17,277 students and 1,063 MSME players throughout Indonesia who managed to get the MURI Record award.
